WIIT's Charitable Trust

The purpose of The Women in International Trade Charitable Trust ("WIIT Trust") is to promote education.  Specifically, the WIIT Trust aims to share information on personal and professional development for women in trade and to promote educational opportunities for young women.

The WIIT Trust engages professional women across the trade career spectrum, from government to business to legislative to diplomatic and civil society, sharing expertise, talent and lessons learned.  Our goal is to promote the wide range of opportunities that exist in trade from career development to women's economic empowerment.

We achieve this mission by:
  • Providing scholarships to graduate and undergraduate women in the field of International Trade who show promise as Future Global Leaders
  • Connecting with local academic institutions to promote a skills-development panel and discussion
  • Educating women worldwide on how to participate in trade and encouraging a focus on women's economic empowerment through trade
We welcome your engagement and support of the Trust.  If you have questions, comments or proposals, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@wiittrust.org.

History

The WIIT Charitable Trust was founded in 2001 to fund charitable activities that promote the benefits of trade education.  Since its creation, the Trust has focused on sharing skills and trade expertise to a wider audience of emerging trade professionals at local universities, on Capitol Hill and across the DC community.

The WIIT Charitable Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax exempt.  Contributions to the Trust are separate from membership dues for WIIT.
